Care Packages
Our Care Packages are packed with love by Operation Compassion Volunteers. Each one is full of basic hygiene items, a puzzle book, a few other surprises and comes in a sturdy, zippered, camouflage kit that can be reused for personal storage.
We pack an average of 25 Care Packages in one box so that each recipient can share with those in their unit. When finished, our boxes weigh approximately 45 pounds. Imagine the surprise on a heroe’s face when they open such a big box and find so many packages to share!
The Postmaster General, John E. Potter said,
“Mail is one of the greatest morale boosters we can give our troops…When they see that package or letter waiting for them on their bunk or hear their name at mail call, it brings them that much closer to family and the comforts of home.”
If you are interested in facilitating a collection of hygiene items, or know of someone who needs a box of Care Packages please contact Delana Bradbury at Delana_Bradbury@usc.salvationarmy.org.
